A friend of the brewery (and guest artist for some of our labels) came to us with the name for this beer, and we decided to actually use Blue Flowers to brew it. The concept we decided on was a beer take on an Arnold Palmer, combining the herbal qualities of butterfly pea flower with the tart slap of lemon and some cranberry-type essence from Andean blackberry. The combination yields a distinctly purple brew that is tart and lemony, with an herbal, almost cranberry finish. The first sip will make you pucker up and give you a little sour rush, but once you settle in, it is exceedingly pleasing to drink.
